I brought my car in for an oil change somewhere else and unbeknownst to me with a smoking positive terminal to my battery. I called 2 guys and they were thankfully able to get me in to fix it. It was the end of their long day and even when it turned out to be a little more than anticipated they all remained positive and lighthearted. I would trust them for anything in the future. Yes, the price was great but nothing beats kind, honest, professional and knowledgeable. Thank you guy's so very much and it was a pleasure to meet each of you.

he came to the house and was only supposed to diagnose one vehicle but I had a lot of questions and very quick response and very good team to work with. I am DEFINITELY going to be a returning customer. it's hard to find a decent mechanic that won't rip you off and was very honest and direct on what was wrong with my vehicles. not only that but he put tires on my van and fix my muffler so I could drive that at least while I work on getting my truck fixed

Kevin did the work on my daughter's van, at her home. Wheel bearings, rotors, pads on both front sides of 2010 Chrysler van. All completed in 2 hours 30 min. Van drives perfectly. No noise, never stopped this well.

Kevin is one of the most honest and knowledgeable mechanics I have ever worked with. He took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on with my vehicle and made sure I understood the issue before doing any work. What I appreciated most was that he didn't try to upsell anything unnecessary. He focused on what actually needed to be fixed and was very fair with pricing. It's rare to find someone who is both highly skilled and genuinely trustworthy. If you're looking for a mechanic who cares about doing the job right and treating customers honestly, I highly recommend Kevin.

About Vehicle Diagnostics

Common questions and tips from our work with Friendship customers.

Does a code tell you exactly what is wrong?
No. A code tells you which system flagged a problem and under what condition, not which part failed. A lean code, for example, can come from a vacuum leak, a weak fuel pump or a dirty sensor. Testing the system is what turns a code into the correct repair.
Is it safe to drive with the check engine light on?
If the light is steady and the car drives normally, you can usually drive it in for a scan soon. If the light is flashing, that usually means an active misfire that can overheat and damage the catalytic converter. Ease off and get it looked at right away.

Tip

Write down the symptoms before you call

Note when the problem shows up: cold starts, highway speed, braking, turning, or after rain. Write down any sounds, smells or vibrations and whether a warning light came on. Those details help narrow a diagnosis and point testing in the right direction from the start.

FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Always. We run the diagnostic, explain what we found, show you the parts or labor involved, and give you a fair price. You approve the work before we touch anything.

We take walk-ins when we can, but an appointment keeps you from waiting.

Could be a loose gas cap, a bad sensor, a catalytic converter issue, or a misfiring cylinder. We scan it, decode the error and tell you what it really means. Some fixes are cheap, some cost more.

Most cars get 50,000 to 70,000 miles from a set. If you hear squealing or grinding, or if your pedal feels soft, have us check. We'll tell you if you need them now or can wait.

Check your owner's manual. Many newer cars go 7,500 to 10,000 miles between changes. Older vehicles may need every 5,000 miles. Bring it in when you're due.

We handle domestic and import cars, trucks and vans. If you're unsure, call with your year, make and model and we'll let you know what we can do.

Yes. If you'd rather have us diagnose or repair at your home, call and we'll arrange it. Some jobs work better at the shop, but we're flexible.
